Message Pal is a simple and secure application for instant messaging that lets all users of a LAN maintain all types of conversation and send files.

Contrary to other similar programs, Message Pal is a P2P system that needs no central server or administrator. It works very simply: You choose the destination of your message from your contacts list, that can be one or a group of people, write the message and it will instantly arrive at its destination.

You can make multiple adjustments to adapt it to your taste, like selecting distinct sounds for each occasion, open messages in the same or different windows, save a conversation log, change the size and font of letters, change your own name when you want, and much more. Also, with Message Pal you can create up to 24 predefined messages, to use them each time you want without having to write them again.

And if you are worried about your work and don´t want anyone to bother you, you can have your status as free, absent, working, etc, and you can also minimize it to the Windows toolbar leaving Message Pal still connected.
